 The
mission of the Eagles Foundation is to identify and develop an elite
corps of leadership talent from among the prison population with the
goal of effecting a dramatic realization of potential among all participants
upon release, thereby developing outstanding citizens qualified to
contribute to the social good, and to mentor other inmates and returning
ex-offenders. This mission to be realized by cognitive counseling
and skills-training programs within the prison system, followed by
intensive mentoring, social interaction, and higher education upon
release. The Eagles Foundation also raises public awareness of issues
affecting inmates and ex-offenders in order to effect reforms to the
legal and penal systems that may be conducive to building an integrated
and cohesive citizenry in these United States. |
