Founding Eagle, Joseph Roberts, was raised in Harlem, New York. A high-school dropout, he earned his high school equivalency diploma at night school, then an associate of arts degree at Empire State College. He subsequently attended Sarah Lawrence College from 1981 to 1984, majoring in sociology and graduating with a bachelors degree in arts. Mr. Roberts has dedicated his life to providing critical services to people in need. His twenty-plus years of experience include individual and family counseling and substance abuse prevention. His specialty is leading vulnerable individuals, most especially inner city youth and ex-offenders, to become self-reliant, contributing citizens. He is currently a transitional release counselor working with ex-offenders.
